Full course description

This site is a self-paced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner Exam preparation resource. It has a study guide, practice exams and preparation tips.

It is a complement to the AWS Cloud Foundations course taught through AWS by Ken Gilbert, certified AWS Academy Educator and an AWS Partner, He is Professor Emeritus and former head of the Department of Business Analytics and Statistics at the University of Tennessee.

AWS certification is a valuable credential on any resume. About 90% of companies use cloud computing in some form. Cloud computing skills are also an indication of a job candidate's (or employee's) interest and ability in keeping up with rapidly changing technology.

Cloud computing allows organizations to provision virtual hardware instantly. It has several advantages to on-premises hardware. It allows capacity to scale up and down in proportion to demand. It is pay-as-you-go, thus eliminating the large capital cost. It also eliminates the need to forecast future computing requirements.
